EDA University Center

As a formerly funded EDA University Center with the U.S. Economic Development Administration, we are proud to focus on three main objectives: 

  • Align and strengthen rural workforce systems and build economic resiliency.
  • Improve participation and equity in the labor force.
  • Help rural businesses attract and retain talent to grow jobs and investment.


This strategic partnership engages university resources to help strengthen capacity of Tennessee’s workforce development systems to create and sustain high skilled jobs, particularly in rural areas.
